We quickly grew to include partners in China. We expanded our capabilities to include the fabrication of transformers and related electronic assemblies, windings, metal stampings, plastics, injection mold tooling, and mold plastic parts.

In 2006, Eastek expanded the DG Eastek site to a total of 465,000 sq. ft. manufacturing campus and acquired seven injection molding machines. As a result, we began marketing and selling injection mold tooling for export. The expansion of the DG campus also enabled us to create a larger campus that housed the “Eastek University” for the advancement of learning on the Eastek factory campus. This evolved to include four levels of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes being taught to more than 250 employees by the end of 2009.

In 2010, Eastek received its wholly-owned foreign enterprise (WOFE) license from the Guangdong provincial government. This license allows Eastek to continue its existing export (from China) business and adds the capability to sell into the China domestic market in the Chinese Renminbi (RMB). With this license in place, Eastek was able to simplify the Hong Kong companies from 5 to 2. Eastek passed its first QSIT audit, demonstrating full compliance with the US FDA 21CFR820 regulation.
